Group One Winner Silent Sedition made it back-to-back Mannerism Stakes victories with win seven (sixth stakes) from 22 starts. She jumped as well as any but it took 200 metres before she took over clearly, leading fairly comfortably down the side.

Under Craig Williams, who sat quietly, she was taken on at the 400m but tightly hugging the fence around the last corner she snuck ahead, increased her lead at the 200m then put the race away 50 metres later and was able to ease down at the post for an easy win.

Samovare moved up to fourth one out down the side, went up alongside the winner three wide at the 400m and was maybe level at the 300m but found the winner too swift.

Montoya’s Secret was among the last three turning in and ran on best of the rest for third from Jester Halo who tracked the winner into the straight but found little in the run home.
