Murray Bridge Races Review on 13th October 2024

The Ballarat based training combination of Tony and Calvin McEvoy were well pleased in taking out the opening two-year-old race of the season when Hiatus opened his winning account in the 900 metre event.

Having the services of Manuel Nunes Hiatus  raced one off the pace before winning.

Returning to racing after a spell Super Alana took out the 1100 metre second race.  Coming out of the Strathalbyn stable of Wayne Francis and Glen Kent the Kayla Crowther ridden Super Alana led all the way.

Jockey Lachlan Neindorf continued his good run when he rode The Mansman in the 1400 metre third race.

Coming out of the Morphettville stable of Phillip Stokes The Mansman came from midfield with an inside run to bring up his second win from ten starts.

The training of Dean and Gary Alexander continued their good run when Angelic Appeal took out the 1400 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Victorian apprentice Tatum Bull Angelic Appeal came from last on the home turn with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Coming off a last start third on the Parks track at Morphettville Truly Elsa was too good for her rivals in the 1000 metre fifth race.

Ridden by Matthew Chadwick the Darren Magro and Aimee Bush trained Truly Elsa came from well back to win.

Local trainer Michael Hickmott was well pleased with the win of Fancify in the 1200 metre sixth race,

Having the services of Joe Bowditch Fancify came from a forward position to bring up her sixth win from twelve starts.

Lachlan Neindorf landed his second winner for the day when he guided Angland to s win I the 1400 metre seventh race.

Prepared at Cranbourne by Mick Pink and Michael Kent junior Angland raced one off the pace before going on to meet with success.

The Andrew Gluyas prepared Watchme Win continued his good run when he brought up his second win from five starts in the 1100 metre eighth race.

Guided to victory by Jason Holder Watchme Win raced in a forward position after being well served by the start.

The former Singapore based hoop Manuel Nunes brought up his first major SA success when Maracourt gave him his second winner for the day in the Listed Murray Bridge Gold Cup which was run over 1600 metres. Trained at the Wellington property of Michael Hickmott Maracourt came from well back with a well-timed run over the concluding stages.

Michael Hickmott landed his second winner for the day when Motorace took out the 2000 metre final event.

Ridden by Todd Pannell Mortorace brought up his second win in a week when he led all the way.
