They're racing at Launceston tonight with an eight race card and Racing & Sports have provided a preview for every race.

RACE 1 - 6:05PM Book Now for the Ladbrokes Punters Marquee 3YO & Upwards Maiden (1120 METRES)

LADY FERN (8) showed more like her best narrowly beaten at Hobart. With average luck in transit, she should have them well covered. SMART ARTIE (11) resumes and showed enough early doors to consider. He's trialled well but an awkward barrier needs managing. HEART OF PARIS (6) gives away starts but was only beaten 1.9L here last time. Has been freshened and is a quinella hope. HEART OF PARIS (6) found better form beaten 2L here last time. He's been freshened and will be in the money at best. TAKEAWAY (7) and TROTSKY (3) will both be fitter and should be around the mark.

RACE 2 - 6:42PM Galloping Gourmet Tour heading to Stanley 3YO & Upwards Maiden (1420 METRES)

GEMS EAGLE (3) peaks and has been going well enough at Hobart to say this is winnable. He is still shy of his best and will get every chance in the run. WANNABE ZIGGY (9) has finished ahead of the above her last two and was heavily backed last time. She is also fourth-up but has an awkward barrier today and that's the niggle. DUBAI AFFAIR (11) went close at Hobart first up and is further improved. She has to run out an extra 320m today but presents fitter and has winning claims. Of the others, SOUTH GEORGIA (14) debuts and has a handy 3kg claim. Her latest trial suggests she can race well at a price.
 

RACE 3 - 7:20PM Ladbrokes Outdoor Enclosure Cup day Class 1 Handicap (1420 METRES)

OZTURK (6) resumed further improved beaten 1L at Hobart over 1400m. She will need a good ride from the awkward barrier and fitter she has genuine claims. KAKIA (2) went close at Hobart three back and got to within 1.3L at Longford last time. He started $2.70 in that and will get every chance positioning forward. SH'BOURNE MIDNIGHT (1) resumed in solid order and will be sharper today. He missed a whisker at this track/trip before the spell and that reads well. BUNKER BOB (3) has been around the mark without winning and draws better today. Has a handy 2kg claim and deserves consideration. EMMJAY (15) has a 3kg claim and will be around the mark again.

RACE 4 - Race 4 - 8:00PM Tasmanian Oaks Night Outdoor Party on the Leger 0 - 62 Rating (1420 METRES)

APRIL'S DANCE (9) bounced straight back beaten 1.3L at Hobart. Maps for a soft run and presents at peak fitness. She can go one better. GEE GEES ME BOY (1) finished just behind the above in that contest and was slow to recover. All must be in order and he also has winning claims. DID YOU DECIDE (3) improved sharply here and then came back and was beaten a whisker in a CL5. Has more weight but tumbles in grade and has been kept on the fresh side. AGNETE (6) is third-up and she has more to offer. Has an inside gate and is in the mix.

RACE 5 - 8:30PM Ladbrokes Form Genius Class 3 (1220 METRES)

STREET DIVA (7) won twice here before a 0.5L defeat at Hobart over 1200m. Finished it off well last time and the extra 200m shouldn't hold any fears. She's won 2/2 this track. Little between the above and NGAPALI BEACH (6) ratings-wise. Ngapali Beach narrowly missed twice before delivering a win here this grade/trip. Carries 2kg more but has been kept on the fresh side. UNIQUE EAGLE (10) is also a decent chance. Seeks the hat-trick off a comfortable win at CL1 level over 1200m and carries 2.5kg less in the CL3. Maps for a soft run and has been freshened. She's sure to keep improving. MANDATE (3) has been kept fresh and would be a hope at best.
 

RACE 6 - 9:00PM Kevin Sharkie Tasmanian Oaks Friday Night 21st February Benchmark 60 Handicap (2150 METRES)

VINTAGE DIESEL (2) returned to his best winning by 10L at Longford over 2400m. Comes back 250m but he's going to be tough to beat holding the form. BLONDE STAR (1) bring strong form over a mile. Has her first try over a middle distance but she gives every indication that it will suit. MONTE FLEUR (5) is racing well and will find this easier than Hobart last time. She's also a chance. KAY OH ELL (10) will be fitter and will appreciate the longer trip. She's good enough.

RACE 7 - 9:30PM National Pony Racing Series Friday Night 21st February Benchmark 76 Handicap (1620 METRES)

Tactical. ALPINE AFFAIR (2) was an easy 68 winner at Longford over `1400m and will present at peak fitness. The 2kg claim remains handy and she will get every chance to go on. OLE OLA (6) just missed at 60 level on the same day spiking her figures. Likes the trip and deserves plenty of consideration. ALPINE BLAST (5) wasn't beaten far last time on the synthetic and on a 7-day backup can make the finish. RISING LIGHT (1) is third-up and can stick on a lot better today.

RACE 8 - 10:00PM Ladbrokes Launceston Cup Wednesday 26th February Maiden/Class 1 (2150 METRES)

THONATUS (3) didn't manage the wide barrier at Hobart back to a sprint but missed a whisker here the three runs prior at 1600m. Rates best and gets another chance over a middle distance. MILES 'N' MILES (1) did a big job winning a Maiden here coming back to a mile. Was heavily bet this distance range at Hobart prior and didn't have the best of it. On a 5-day backup and deserves consideration. OXY BOLT (5) wasn't too far away at Hobart stepping up to this distance. He can get into the finish again. LYCO RECO (9) brings a Hobart Maiden win over a mile and races forward. Draws inside and has plenty of scope for improvement. GRANITE LEGEND (8) led at Stakes level last time and dropped away. He can give more today at a big price.
