Higher quality fields with increased bonuses set to lure owners and trainers to Tasmanian features across thoroughbred and greyhound racing.
The Ladbrokes $150,000 Double Cup Connections Bonus for thoroughbreds and The Ladbrokes $100,000 Triple Treat Connections Bonus for greyhounds out to attract key Tasmanian and interstate thoroughbred and greyhound owners to this year's Ladbrokes Summer Racing Festival.
The Ladbrokes Double Cup Bonus, payable to the owner / trainer of any horse that wins the Ladbrokes Hobart and Launceston Cups (held on 9 February and 26 February 2025 respectively) in the same year, has been increased to $150,000.

The Ladbrokes Triple Treat Connections Bonus will see a $100,000 bonus paid to the owner / trainer of any greyhound that can win the finals of The Chase (16 January 2025), the Ladbrokes Hobart Thousand (12 December 2024) and the Ladbrokes Launceston Cup (3 February 2025).
If one greyhound wins two of the eligible races but fails to win all three, a $25,000 bonus will be paid to the owner / trainer.
Tasracing CEO Andrew Jenkins said the bonuses across the two codes of racing served a double purpose.
"The bonuses not only promote the race meetings to the wagering and race going public, but also incentivise owners and trainers considering nominating for these events," he said.
"The races across both codes are already highly competitive, featuring fields of good depth and quality. Through the incentives, Tasracing believes the quality of the race fields will only be enhanced."
Tasmanian Turf Club (TTC) CEO Mark Ridgway said the additional $50,000 available as part of the Ladbrokes Double Cup Bonus was a great boost to the Ladbrokes Summer Racing Festival.
"I'm sure it will help to attract quality horses, jockeys and trainers from all over Australia to both cup race days," he said.
"The TTC is excited to be playing a role in hosting the second part of this valuable bonus.
"Not only can a horse win this bonus by winning both the Ladbrokes Hobart and Launceston Cups, but the Launceston winner will also receive a golden ticket entry into the 2025 Ladbrokes Geelong Cup valued at $500,000."
The Hobart Greyhound Racing Club's Graeme Barber said the state's greyhound racing clubs were excited that Ladbrokes had again sponsored the $100,000.00 triple treat bonus for any greyhound that could win this season's three group races.
"On top of the fantastic prize money already on offer for the Hobart Thousand, Ladbrokes Chase and Launceston Cup, the Triple Treat bonus will help attract the fastest dogs currently racing in Australia."
