Australia to bat first in second T20 against Pakistan

3 minute read

Australia captain Josh Inglis has won the toss and chosen to bat first in the Twenty20 clash against Pakistan at the SCG.

Australia have won the toss and will bat first as they pursue a Twenty20 series win over Pakistan at the SCG.

Up 1-0 after Thursday night's rain-affected win in Brisbane, Australia have kept an unchanged side for Saturday's second match in Sydney.

Pakistan have made one change, bringing in an extra spinner in Sufiyan Muqeem for batter Haseebullah Khan.

There had been some rain in Sydney earlier in the day, but the cloud cover has cleared with the match close to a sell-out.

After being beaten 2-1 in the one-day series last week, Australia are playing without their red-ball stars ahead of the first Test in Perth on Thursday.

AUSTRALIA: Jake Fraser-McGurk, Matt Short, Josh Inglis (capt), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie, Tim David, Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa, Spencer Johnson.

PAKISTAN: Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan (capt), Sahibzada Farhan, Usman Khan, Salman Agha, Irfan Khan, Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Sufiyan Muqeem.
