The Sydney Roosters have secured their second NRLW premiership with a 32-28 win over Cronulla.
The Sydney Roosters have claimed their second NRLW premiership, withstanding a second-half comeback from Cronulla in a 32-28 win.
The Roosters looked set for the most-dominant win in NRLW grand final history when they cantered to a 24-0 lead by running in five first-half tries at Accor Stadium on Sunday.
But the Sharks, playing in their maiden decider in just their second season, sparked into life in a drama-charged second half.
Cronulla cut the Roosters' lead to just 26-24 with five minutes to go but a second try of the afternoon from Dally M Medal winner Olivia Kernick put the game beyond the Sharks' reach.
