THOROUGHBREDS
Randwick: Race 3; #2 Blue Vein
BLUE VEIN hit the line impressively last start out in what was a handy field. But felt the small risk here is the race map in these conditions. If he finds himself shuffled back on the rails, it could be an awkward position to be in on a wet track. At the price I am happy to risk him and especially considering a runner like COLD BREW was impressive last start and gets that good on speed race map.
Jazzclub was terrible first-up after showing good talent at his first preparation. He would need to raise his level to be in the finish here and is likely to be kept short enough with the trainer/jockey combination.
GREYHOUNDS
The Meadows: Race 1; #2 Paw London
There's no doubt Paw London has the best resume in what looks a weak Maiden on paper. Just not sure she has the will to win and may just be chasing the greyhound in front of it. Seeing it will likely start fave, I am happy to be against.
The Meadows: Race 5; #4 Riendo
Riendo has lightning early speed but is a distance query here against these rivals. She would need something weaker to pinch this because Leo Bale and Aston Gozo are in career best form, are well drawn to Riendo's outside, have good tactical speed early and will both be stronger than Riendo in the closing stages.
HARNESS
Honest type but this is an awkward draw over the sprint trip for a runner with little tactical speed – worth a risk.
