WARWICK FARM – June 5

Best Bets

RACE 4 (13) SETOMBE: Nice Godolphin filly holds plenty of scope to improve off her first-up maiden win over 1100m at Hawkesbury. The way she came from off the pace in the heavy going to run over the top of her rivals confirmed the progress she has made from her first prep.

RACE 8 (2) INQUIRING MINDS: Well-bred import was effective up to 2400m in the UK and has been quick to hit form in two local starts on soft tracks. Improved off his first-up second over 1500m at Kembla Grange to record a determined on pace win over 1600m at this course and sure to be fitter again. Stays in the same class and an extra 2kg shouldn't bother him.

For Value

RACE 6 (5) EDMOND: Boasts a very consistent record and is suitably placed in this class with two wins and three placings from six first-up attempts. Can run boldly at generous odds as he's been well prepared with three good trials by a stable that likes to have their runners ready to perform fresh.

RACE 7 (16) DEMIANA: With this race held over from last Saturday little has changed. The Waller stable has been playing a waiting game with this mare since she resumed five weeks ago with a luckless second over 1300m in this class at Rosehill when she rattled late after being badly held up. She's since bypassed several races but it's time to press the go button as she is well placed to run to her best in this field.
