Lowther Stakes-winning daughter of Sir Prancealot snapped up by breeding powerhouse

Miss Amulet - who is by Cornerstone Stud shuttler Sir Prancealot (Tamayuz) - will don the Coolmore silks on her next start, after it was revealed the breeding powerhouse purchased the progressive filly privately earlier in the week. 

In one of the seasons great ‘rags to riches’ stories of the season with the filly purchased for a mere €1,000 at the Goffs November Foal Sale in 2018, before making £7,500 at the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale the following year. 

The Ken Condon-trained filly has been somewhat of a revelation this season, landing the Marwell Stakes (Listed, 5f), before taking out the Lowther Stakes (Gr 2, 6f) on her most recent start. 

Owner Michael Tabor confirmed on Tuesday that the filly has been purchased by Coolmore from former owner Colm Griffin and that she would stay in training with Condon, while he also confirmed the plan would be to target the Cheveley Park Stakes (Gr 1, 6f) with the filly. 

The filly is one of three winners out of four time-winning Oasis Dream (Green Desert) mare Shena's Dream. 

The filly’s third dam is Stresa (Mill Reef), who in turn produced Grade 1 winner Mill Native (Elusive Native) and Group 3 winning-pair French Stress (Sham) and Sporades (Vaguely Noble) - the dam of Listed winner Tigre D’Or (Tiger Hill). 

Further back this is the same family as Group 3 winner Goldy Espony (Vespone) and Listed scorer Malkoboy (Rajsaman). 

Sir Prancealot resides at the Rancho San Miguel in California for the northern hemisphere breeding season, while he is currently standing at Cornerstone Stud, where his fee in 2020 is advertised as $9,900 (inc GST).
