Latest Generation (2 c Frankel - Rizeena by Iffraaj) looks to have inherited some of his parents talent as the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained two-year-old shed his maiden status on his second start when scoring over a mile at Doncaster on Wednesday.

Last seen running third at Sandown last month, Latest Generation put that experience to good use when stretching clear in the final stages to beat Stay Well (Iffraaj) by a length and a half, while Saligo Bay (New Bay) finished another length away in third.

The colt is by Juddmonte Farms unbeaten champion Frankel (Galileo) and the first foal out of dual Group 1 winner Rizeena - who is by former Haunui Farm shuttler Iffraaj (Zafonic).

Rizeena - whose five wins are headed by victories in the Moyglare Stud Stakes (Gr 1, 7f) and Coronation Stakes (Gr 1, 1m) - is a half sister to Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 3, 1m½f) winner Summer Romance (Kingman), with the pair both being out of Serena’s Storm (Statue Of Liberty).

Serena’s Storm herself is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Zabeel Prince (Lope De Vega), Listed scorer Queen Power (Shamardal) and dual Australian Group 2 winner Puissance De Lune (Shamardal) - who now stands at Swettenham Stud in Victoria for a fee of $18,000 (plus GST).

Frankel stood at Juddmonte Farm's Banstead Manor base in Newmarket for a fee of £175,000 in 2020. The son of Galileo (Sadler’s Wells) is represented in the southern hemisphere by his son Eminent, who is standing at Brighthill Farm in New Zealand for a fee of NZ$7,500 (plus GST) in 2020 and Frankel My Dear who will is standing his first season Ryand Thoroughbreds in Victoria for a fee of $6,600 (inc GST).
