Two-year-old colt Harper remains unbeaten.
The Oakgrove Stud-based sire Al Kazeem (Dubawi) was handed his fourth stakes winner on Thursday as Harper (2 c ex Fuschia by Averti) followed up his winning debut with a victory in the Grand Criterium De Bordeaux (Listed, 1600m) at Bordeaux Le Bouscat.
The Andrea Marcialis-trained two-year-old colt broke his maiden over 1400 metres at Saint-Cloud on July 3 and he built on that performance when posting a length and three-quarter victory over Reina Madre (Kingman), while Guerre D'Amour (Camelot) was another half a length further back in third.
Purchased for 800gns at the 2018 Tattersalls December Foals Sale, before being bought by Marco Bozzi Bloodstock for 26,000gns at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale the following year, the colt is one of five winners - first stakes winner - out of winning Averti (Warning) mare Fuschia.
Fuschia is herself a daughter of Big Pink (Bigstone), who is in turn a half-sister to Listed-winning duo Ring Pink (Bering) and Lypink (Lyphard).
Al Kazeem's progeny is headed by German Group 1 winner Aspetar, who is currently in Australia and holds an entry for the Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m).
The son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) stood at stud for a private fee in 2020.
