37 For Kingman
Juddmonte Farm’s Kingman (Invincible Spirit) notched up his 37th stakes winner on Saturday when the Roger Varian-trained Save A Forest (3 f ex Bark by Galileo) won the Chalice Stakes (Listed, 1m4f) at Newmarket. Last seen running fourth in the Oaks (Gr 1, 1m4f), Save A Forest stayed on well in the closing stages to beat the Charlie Appleby-trained favourite Sayyida (Dubawi) by a half length.
Kingman will cover to southern hemisphere time again this season for a fee of £70,000 and his stakes winners are headed by four Group One winners in Palace Pier, Persian King, Domestic Spending and Schnell Meister.
