After standing his first five seasons at Tally-Ho Stud in Ireland, Galileo Gold (Paco Boy) will move to Haras de Bouquetot for the 2023 breeding season.

A dual Group 1 winner for trainer Hugo Palmer, Galileo Gold has already produced Group 1 Phoenix Stakes (6f) winner Ebro River, who like his sire was trained by Palmer for Al Shaqab Racing, as well as multiple stakes winner Oscula, who also ran third in last year's Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac (1600m) at Longchamp.

With Toronado (High Chaparral) remaining in Australia, Galileo Gold will fill his place at the Normandy farm.

"We're delighted to be welcoming Group 1 sire Galileo Gold in France in a joint venture with Tally-Ho Stud, who have done a fantastic job with giving him the best chances for his start at stud," said Haras de Bouquetot's stud manager Benoit Jeffroy.

"Galileo Gold has already shown his abilities as a valuable sire of precocious horses, with over ten per cent black type horses to runners with his first crop of two-year-olds, and with the numbers he's covered this past year we can only hope for more to come.

"With Toronado being so successful in Australia, we took the decision to keep him there and we're confident that Galileo Gold will be as good a value as Toronado was to local breeders."
