One of four stallions to stand at the farm in 2023
On Thursday, Tweenhills announced the stud fees for the four stallions that they will stand next year with Zoustar (Northern Meteor) fee raised from £25,000 to £30,000.
Zoustar's first northern hemisphere-bred crop are two-year-olds this year and include Cartier European Champion Two-Year-Old Filly Lezoo. She is one of six Group 1 winners by the son of Northern Meteor (Encosta De Lago).
"We are extremely excited to welcome Zoustar back to Tweenhills for his fifth Northern Hemisphere covering season," said Tweenhills owner David Redvers.
"He has got off to a fantastic start with his first European runners which were topped by Lezoo's dominant victory in the Cheveley Park Stakes Group 1 – his sixth individual Group 1 winner.
"Zoustar's Australian stock just get better with age and racing, so we are eagerly awaiting his first European three-year-olds next year. Standing at a fraction of his Australia stud fee of AU$198,000, he is a real coup for European breeders."
Group 1 2000 Guineas (1m) winner Kameko (Kitten's Joy), whose first crop are foals, has had his fee reduced from £20,000 to £15,000, while Havana Gold (Teofilo) is also standing for a reduced fee of £10,000, down from £12,5000 this year.
"Kameko was supported by some of the very best breeders in Europe and we could not be more excited about his first crop of foals, who will be selling at the sales later this month," said Redvers.
"A record-breaking miler at two and three, we believe he offers outstanding value at his 2023 fee of £15,000."
The Tweenhills roster is completed by Lightning Spear (Pivotal) whose fee remains at £5,000.
