Unbeaten daughter of Kingman suffers career-ending injury
Unbeaten three-year-old filly Commissioning (Kingman) has been retired from racing after suffering a career-ending injury.
Trained by John and Thady Gosden for Isa Salman and Abdullah Al Khalifa, Commissioning broke her maiden over seven furlongs at Newmarket last July, pulling there and a half lengths clear of rivals under Frankie Dettori.
She then went on to win the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes, over the same course and distance, in September before taking out the Group 1 Fillies Mile (1m), at Newmarket's Rowley Mile course.
The daughter of Kingman (Invincible Spirit) was one of the favourites for the Group 1 1000 Guineas (1m) but she will now head to Highclere Stud.
Such a shame to hear that leading Classic hope Commissioning has been retired because of a setback. She won all of her three races last year, including the Fillies' Mile. pic.twitter.com/lvRkf3aZJN
