Young mare in foal to Frankel bought by Yulong via Inglis Digital
Of Good Cheer (Dark Angel), in foal on her first cover to Juddmonte Farm's champion sire Frankel (Galileo), topped the Inglis Digital June (Early) Sale on Wednesday evening when she was bought by Yulong for $560,000.
A winning daughter of Dark Angel (Acclamation), Of Good Cheer is out of the Listed placed Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) mare Radiator who is herself a daughter of Grade 1 winner Heat Haze (Green Desert).
Heat Haze produced five winners headed by Group 1 Metropolitan Handicap winner Mirage Dancer, a son of Frankel, and the Of Good Cheer's third dam is blue hen mare Hasili (Kahyasi), dam of Banks Hill (Danehill), Intercontinental (Danehill), Cacique (Danehill), Champs Elysees (Danehill) and Dansili (Danehill).
The mare, who was one of seven lots to sell for $100,000 or more, was offered by Olly Tait's Twin Hills Stud on behalf of Juddmonte.
"It's a great result, she's a lovely mare and we were very happy to be able to present her on behalf of Juddmonte,'' Twin Hills' Olly Tait said.
"This result once again proves that, at all levels, Inglis Digital is a great platform to sell on because it has the trust of the industry.
"That trust is what makes it the juggernaut it is today and will continue to be in the future.''
The next most expensive lot to sell was the Newgate Farm-offered mare Fortune Seeker (Written Tycoon) who was also bought by Yulong.
Sold in foal to Stay Inside (Extreme Choice), the mare is a three quarter sister to the Tony Gollan-trained stakes winning filly Comrade Rosa (Capitalist), being out of Listed winning and Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) runner up No Looking Back (Redoute's Choice).
"The mare is owned by Nick Vass, a great supporter of the farm and it's a fantastic result overall,'' Newgate's Jim Carey said.
"Mares in foal to Stay Inside have sold tremendously well this year and Fortune Seeker has gone to a great home and we wish Mr Zhang and the Yulong team all the best with her. Hopefully there's a big update for them as early as Saturday in the Dane Ripper.''
