Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Picture: @DubaiRacingTV

Juvenile maiden fillies in the opener with four of the twelve racing for the first time. We'll side with experience and (4) GWANAKSAN JOY, who debuted over 1200M on August 31st when she led for much of the way, ultimately finishing 4th, six lengths behind the winner who has since won again. She'll be on pace here and this time can go all the way. Having won a trial, (10) HAKSAN CLEAR was sent off as favourite on debut over this distance on September 8th when she led but got caught late on. She too should have come on for the run and can be a danger here. (6) CHOWON DOLPONG was a close 2nd on debut before taking her chance in the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy on September 7th. She finished 7th of eleven in that but should be happier in more amenable company here. (7) HAENGBOKHAN SEUNGBU and (1) BEOLGYO GRAMMY others who hinted at ability on debut and may improve.

Seoul Race 2: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Twelve maiden imports here with six of the twelve racing for the first time. We'll take a chance on one of those newcomers after (4) SECRET SOCKS more than caught the eye in the last of three trials she went through. It was on September 12th, and she led all the way around stopping the clock in 60.6 seconds, nine-lengths clear of the rest. If she brings that form to the races, she can win. (9) PEPPER X beat a couple of today's rivals on his way to a solid runner-up finish on debut on September 14th, settling midfield and running on. Expect similar tactics here and with some natural improvement, he has a winning chance. (11) DREAMER WHIZ was 3rd on debut over 1000M, running on pleasingly enough. The step up in trip can suit, and he can get closer here. (5) GWANAKSAN O TWO and (1) BREEDO SIRIS others who can improve.

Selections (4) Secret Socks (9) Pepper X (11) Dreamer Whiz (5) Gwanaksan O Two

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. (7) ANYANG GIPPEUM is the only one in the race with a 2nd place to her name, achieved at start number two over this distance on August 17th when briefly leading close to home and only being narrowly beaten. She subsequently ran 4th on September 15th, and she won't need to improve much, if at all, on those efforts to win this. (8) DAESEUNGMA comes in off back-to-back 4th place finishes, actually beating Anyang Gippeum on the latter's debut in July before finishing behind her in that August 17th race. She can be on the speed here and in this a long way. (10) HANGANG FASHIONED also enters off a pair of 4th place finishes achieved in contrasting styles, first when leading and then from behind and she too shapes as a danger, (3) ORION ALPHA and (9) SEOHAE BADA others in the frame.

Selections (7) Anyang Gippeum (8) Daeseungma (10) Hangang Fashioned (3) Orion Alpha

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(11) DANGDAECHOWOL got two 4th places from his first two outings and then ran 2nd at start three on September 14th, beating a couple of today's rivals and posting a time faster than any of the others here who have tackled the distance. He has the challenge of the widest gate, but Kozzi climbs on, and he can go one better this time. (5) ÉCLAIR POWER has a 2nd and a 3rd in two starts back following a five-month layoff, settling back and running on both times. Third-up this preparation he can be peaking fitness wise, and he will be vying for favourite status. (1) POETIC NUBI was 3rd behind Dangdaechowol in that September 14th race and can aim to match or better it from the inside gate. (3) COMMANDING LEAD and (6) WANCHOEGO others to consider.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(3) MAGIC IMPACT got her maiden win on her first try around this distance on September 15th, leading for much of the way around and scoring by as many lengths as she pleased. She comes up in class, but she draws nicely, and she can make it two in a row. (6) SINUI UNMYEONG was a beaten favourite on his first try at this class and distance on September 8th, showing on pace and coming home 4th. The start before he was a smart winner over 1400M and can be given another chance today. He gets a weight swing on (2) BIG BLED, who won that September 8th race, leading all the way. Her 3.5kg rise is softened slightly by a nice draw and she can be in this a long way again. (1) WONDERFUL WELLS and (4) LEGEND TAP among others in contention in what looks a competitive race.

Selections (3) Magic Impact (6) Sinui Unmyeong (2) Big Bled (1) Wonderful Wells

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(1) LONG RUN BULPAE was a winner at start number two over this distance before taking his chance in the Rookie Stakes on August 25th when from a wide draw he got a long way back and couldn't make an impact. Back in more limited company today and from a much better gate, he can return to form (6) ELDORADO NOLBU won on debut (narrowly beating Anyang Gippeum, who is due to have run in race 3). He then ran 2nd on his first try at this class and stepped up to 1300M on September 15th. Both times he has settled back and run on, and he will be a danger late here. (8) GROW is another one who can come from off the pace. Much more experienced than the other two, she has been coming back into form in her latest two with a 4th and a 3rd and under a light weight, she can be dangerous. (2) HIT FLY and (3) CRAZY SHAH other placing chances.

Selections (1) Long Run Bulpae (6) Eldorado Nolbu (8) Grow (2) Hit Fly

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

After winning a trial, (7) MIGHTY NEO debuted over 1200M on September 14th and ran a solid 3rd having drawn a wide gate. He should have come on for that run, the additional furlong can suit, and he shapes as the one to beat here. (5) STORM GUY enters off a 2nd and two 3rd places from his latest three, all at this distance. He actually comes up in class here but is down a full 4.5kg in the weights and he shouldn't be far away, most probably racing on pace. (4) TIZ MORNING won back-to-back races earlier this year to get rapidly promoted to this class and made it three in a row with victory on his first try at this class and distance in May. He's held his own in three subsequent outings and he should be there or thereabouts again. (11) SFORZA and (8) GEUMSEONG CROWN the other leading contenders.

Selections (7) Mighty Neo (5) Storm Guy (4) Tiz Morning (11) Sforza

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) MYEONGSEONG CHUKJE has been working towards a second win which he duly got over 1400M on September 14th when settling just behind the speed and proving too strong. He comes up in class here as well as up to the mile for the first time, but he comes down 3.5kg in the weights, he draws very well, and he can win again. (5) GOOD SEONBONG needs a line drawn through his latest when slowly away and then getting a long way back before running on. At the start prior, he was 3rd at this class and distance and on that form, he is worth another chance here. (10) DALMAJI mixes his form, but he has placed twice from three attempts at this distance and that's enough to have him in the mix. (9) SANSAMEUN HAMYANG and (4) MISS WIN STAR others in the minor money hunt.

Selections (1) Myeongseong Chukje (5) Good Seonbong (10) Dalmaji (9) Sansameun Hamyang

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

It's time (11) UMAPOY got back in the winner's circle. An also-ran in the Korean Derby and Minister's Cup, he is a two-time winner at this distance and enters off a 2nd and a 4th from his latest two, must recently in a tough Trophy race on international weekend. He tends to go better on pace, so he has the challenge of the widest gate, but he is nicely weighted and today can be his day. (3) SPEED ONE is a winner of four from eight and comes up to two turns for the first time. His racing style suggests it can suit and he shapes as the main danger. (7) WORLD BLAME comes up in class having won on his first try at this distance on August 25th when handy throughout. That was his maiden win, but he comes down 4.5kg in the weights and he can measure up in this company. (2) TAPDOWN and (8) SUNGAN TOUCH among others in the hunt.

Selections (11) Umapoy (3) Speed One (7) World Blame (2) Tapdown

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(1) HAENGBOKAN MUNMAK comes in having run 4th in a very competitive Trophy race over 1200M on September 7th having come from off the pace. She has no fewer than sixteen top five finishes from twenty-two starts although surprisingly, she hasn't raced at this distance before. Her recent running style suggests the step up can suit and she can win. (7) BLACK MOTION returns to action for the first time since April. He looked very well when winning a trial at the end of September and if he brings his old form, he can put in a bold showing first-up. (5) VET CAPTAIN is a three-time winner at this distance and comes up in class after a front-running score on August 25th and can make his presence felt here. (4) DRONE KILLER and (3) RAON THE CHARLIE among others to consider in a race of plenty of chances.

Selections (1) Haengbokan Munmak (7) Black Motion (5) Vet Captain (4) Drone Killer

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

Really good finale. (2) CROWN HAMSEONG saw her winning streak come to an end at five when only managing a midfield finish in the G3 Jeju Governor's Cup over 1400M for fillies and mares on September 7th. She had to contend with gate fourteen that day so she gets a much better draw here and that race aside, she has consistently run fast times for the distance and can return to winning ways. (4) VINCERO CAVALLO was given his chance in the International Korea Sprint on September 8th, and he fully justified his entry by running 6th of fifteen behind Remake. He is one for one at this distance and could well start as favourite here. (6) MILLION PARTY has five wins from eleven starts and while only 5th in a big Trophy race on international weekend, she tackles this distance for the first time under a light weight and should be on pace and in it a long way. (5) OKCHEON SNIPER and (11) THUNDER DREAM others who should have a say.

Selections (2) Crown Hamseong (4) Vincero Cavallo (6) Million Party (5) Okcheon Sniper
