As usual we don't know much about these young ladies as yet as most of them have not run over the 1600 so an upset is always a possibility.  However of the ones we know a bit about the top girl seems to be Brown Ratchet, a daughter of Kizuna who has a victory over the boys and has shown a strong finish.  Lemaire rides and she is on 2.4

Another daughter of Kizuna is Shonan Xanadu who has a first and a second from her two runs to date.  Ikezoe rides and they are on 5.8.  Caught Alicient is by Saturnalia and won the Nisei in Niigata during the summer so she's on 8.2.

And then we have an American raider – May Day Ready by Tapit, trained by Joseph Lee and Frankie Dettori is flying in for the ride.  Lee has lived in Japan and knows the racing scene very well so he has brought the filly over with plenty of time to adjust to the new experience.  She has done all her racing in the US on turf which is most unusual, and has experience at the trip.  She's on 8.5 and we wish her well.
