The G1 feature at Kyoto on Sunday resulted in some mighty exotics.
The first three home with the saddle cloth numbers 12-1-2 (for those who go for numbers) paid 37.530 yen for the trio (Ist three in any order) and 227,500 for the trifects (exact order) for a 10 yen bet!
The win went to Arma Veloce, a Harbinger filly having just her third start but under Miwa Iwata she looked a true professional and put in a very good finish. She started on 10.5. Vip Daisy is by Satono Diamond and ran second staring on 16.3, and the third went to Teleos La La in a tight photo with Shonan Xanada, with the daughter of Siskin winning that verdict to take third having started at 16.3 and Mirco Demuro was on board.
Favourite Brown Ratchet was never in it and the American runner May Day Ready wasn't quite up to this level.
