We return to Ascot on Saturday with the Miss Andretti Stakes the feature event.
You won't want to miss a moment of the action on Saturday and you won't have to with coverage live and free on 7Plus and Racing WA.
Race 1: RELIABLE ASSET MAINTENANCE HANDICAP (1,400m)
SENSESSIONAL (2) rushed through the grades last prep, winning his last 5 races on the bounce. He may need the run but is resuming over 1400m so would have done plenty of work at home. A recent trial would have topped him off nicely and the small field will help. On top. PAPAVERO PRINCESS (4) has resumed from her spell in great condition and is unbeaten in all 3 starts this season. She should receive a good run early on from the pole position and with the fitness edge over the top pick, she can remain unbeaten on this course. FALCON TRADER (1) has yet to really fire on this course and did not have much luck from a wide gate here 3 weeks ago in a tougher field. He may settle just off the pace early on in the small field and can figure in the top 3 this time. YARRALEA (6) has not had any luck at all in her last 3 starts. She will appreciate the small field and should have a clear run this time. Don't rule her out of winning this.
Race 2: TABtouch - WESTSPEED PLATINUM HANDICAP (1,600m)
EL PATRON (1) has been his usual consistent self this season and is edging closer to another win. He should be strong enough now to cope with a mile and from his best draw in a while, he can take this out. FRAPPUCCINO (2) was beaten by a wide gate when finishing well back in his penultimate start and then bounced back into the money with a hard-fought second-place finish here last week after making the early running. He tries a mile again and will be the one to catch again. WHY ME (3) let down with a well-timed run to score comfortably by over a length at Bunbury last start and gets his chance to improve his poor track stats here. Include in all combinations. IMPERIALIZE (4) is another with a poor track record but meets the right sort of field here. He was only a short head away from the winner at Pinjarra 9 days ago and has the advantage of the pole position this time. Chris Parnham picks up the ride and the pair merit healthy respect.
Race 3: MAGIC MILLIONS PLATE (1,000m)
COUNTRY GOD (3) has looked impressive winning both of his Belmont trials, but they have only been over 400m which can sometimes be misleading. That being said, he has a good draw and does everything right. Hard to beat. BANNERED (2) won the second of his 3 public trials at Lark by just under a length and will be ready to run a big race on debut. Watch closely. LUANA MISS (7) has been improving in each of her 3 trials and won the last of them by a wide margin. She benefits from the fillies' allowance and has to be respected. GIRLS ON FIRE (6) was runner-up behind the second pick in her latest trial and has a reasonable draw for her debut. She will continue to improve with racing and is capable of a top 3 finish here.
Race 4: OWN THE DREAM 2025 REGISTRATIONS OPEN PLATE (1,200m)
SUPERNATURAL (5) franked an impressive fresh-up maiden win out of her class at Pinjarra with a brave effort for second here 10 days ago. She ran on strongly that day and will relish the step up from 1000m to 1200m. She has plenty of scope and can have the last say here. SANTANOVA (6) is showing plenty of potential in all of her 3 starts to date at Pinjarra. She will also appreciate having an extra furlong to travel and with a soft run lucky from the pole position, she should be right in the finish again. SUNSHINE TAFE (4) raced just off the pace at Pinjarra last start and though travelling wide throughout, she still proved to be too tough in the run to the line, scoring by nearly a length. This grade holds no fears for her and she can win again. GOLD FLAKES (3) set up a strong clip here over 1000m last start and faded out to finish a well-beaten fifth. She is likely to be ridden more patiently this time and can bounce straight back into the money. Include in all combinations.
Race 5: MCA POLYTRACK HANDICAP (1,500m)
RED TORI (7) opened her season with a pair of big runs for third off tough draws and then failed to run on as expected from a superior gate here a week ago. Maybe the quick backup will suit her and she is well worth another chance. Follow your money. SURE NO SOMETHING (2) can't be faulted with his form this campaign and was in the money twice at Geraldton after winning a very nice 100K race here before that. The step up from 1400m to 1500m will suit him and he will give another good account of himself. SNAZZLER (1) peaked on his effort when resuming at Pinjarra a fortnight ago and slides down a class for this. He might need another run but with the advantage of a 2kg claim, he can't be ruled out of a top 3 finish. UNCLE GERARD (3) could have finished closer fresh up at Pinjarra a fortnight ago had he not been held up at times during the run home. He is normally very consistent and is expected to hold his form when fit. He has 3kg less to carry here and can take this out.
Race 6: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLIE BURTON HANDICAP (1,100m)
MEAN MACHINE (7) won his maiden out of his class at the end of winter and then held his own during the early spring. He resumes from a spell and will be a lot stronger this prep. A good draw helps, and he is weighted to win fresh up. HORCRUX (6) was put aside to mature after winning his debut as a late-season juvenile. All of his 3 starts this prep have been in Stakes company and with a drop down to this level, he will be hard to hold out, especially with the blinkers on for the first time. BONNIE LAD (1) has been steadily improving in both of his starts back from a spell and will be at his peak third up. The step up from 1000m to 1100m will suit him and he is ready to put his best hoof forward in this. Each way claims in a very competitive contest. TREASURED QUEEN (5) only peaked on her run late as favourite here 10 days ago and will be spot-on with her fitness third up. She has won twice over this trip in the past and a win here would not shock. Follow your money.
Race 7: PETERS INVESTMENTS HANDICAP (1,800m)
PROFIT POCKET (7) is a very progressive mare who is coping with everything that has been asked of her thus far this season. She worked hard from a wide gate here last time out and was too tough in the drive to the line, scoring by over a length. She has a better gate here and won't find this any harder. With a kilo less to carry, she can double the dose. PROPHET AND POWER (2) has really hit his straps lately and has marched quickly through the grades. He faces another test here but is up to the task and can make it 4 wins on the bounce. CITINO (3) has fought on bravely when finishing runner-up in his last couple of starts on this track and will relish stepping up from a mile to 1800m for the first time in this campaign. Stick with him on an each-way basis. ALASKAN (5) has raced his way back into some good form and drops 2kg from his last start run here last week when beaten by a nose over 2200m. He won't lack fitness and has to be respected.
Race 8: MISS ANDRETTI STAKES (1,100m)
ROCKIN' RUPERT (7) is a handy gelding on his day and did not run on as expected at Pinjarra last time out in a 6-horse field. He finished less than 2 lengths from the winner when running fifth in the G1 Winterbottom Stakes at the end of last spring and that sort of form makes him the one to beat in this. Stick with him. MAN CRUSH (2) finished eighth in the G1 Winterbottom Stakes over 1200m 6 weeks ago and he welcomes Chris Parnham back to the saddle. The pair have a good draw and merit healthy respect. TWAIN'S ANGEL (8) is nearing the sort of form that saw her win her first 6 races in a row. She has now had time to settle into racing at this level and was only beaten by a head here 4 weeks ago. Hard to beat. PREMIUM CHOICE (6) resumed with a soft win here last week, albeit in a 4-horse field. He is just as sharp second up and is another who can win this without it being a surprise.
Race 9: BELHUS RACING JOIN A RACING SYNDICATE HANDICAP (1,200m)
RISSOLES (5) was an impressive winner by a neck fresh up at Belmont and then franked that win by scoring in a much tougher field here 3 weeks ago. She has gone from strength to strength this prep and in the same class, she is the one to beat again. WUBIN GOLD (1) was less than 2 lengths from the winner here last start when finishing fifth from a bad draw. She has a superior gate this time and with the blinkers on for the first time, she can have a say in the outcome of this race. DONT WAIT FOR LUCK (8) motored home to finish fourth fresh up here 10 days ago and should have finished closer that day. She has a better draw this time and with 2kg less to carry, she can figure in the top 3. KING CARTEL (4) raced too keenly in front last start over 1400m and weakened out to finish last. He is worth another chance over 1200m and should be included in all combinations. JELLY CAN RUN (7) is seldom far away and he will strip fitter second up after finishing runner-up at Bunbury last start.
