Racing heads down to Bunbury on Thursday with seven races on the card.
You can watch all the action live and free on 7Plus and Racing WA.
Race 1: RACING WA NOW ON 7PLUS MAIDEN (1,100m)
Tricky. CHAMPAGNE CATHAY (3) got closer here second-up and is ready to win. She can push forward okay and has more to give. SHINE AND BURN (4) has been going okay here and gets in light with the 3kg claim. She runs along and has the first-time blinkers applied. SHOOT TO FAME (2) has the best figures and it's a question of readiness with her. May need a bit longer but she's trialled and CJP's booking is a decent push for her chances. SHEZASEER (7) resumes and has been well-trialled. Worth a betting watch.
Race 2: BUNBURY VOLKSWAGEN MAIDEN (1,690m)
NET ZERO (5) is third-up and this is easier than Ascot last time. He should enjoy the step up to the mile and the top hoop takes over from the apprentice. MAID AN OFFER (2) is mixing the form but is a chance at best and CJP replaces the apprentice. Can make the finish with average luck in the run. SHE'S RESOLUTE (8) wasn't beaten far at Pinjarra over 1500m and is still well shy of her best. Has an awkward gate but deserves consideration. RIGHTY OH (10) is on the improve and races forward. Has to run out the longer trip.
Race 3: BUNBURY CUP DAY ON SALE NOW MAIDEN (1,200m)
LUNCH IN PARIS (6) has been narrowly beaten both starts this preparation and likely had excuses last time. She rates to be winning, and the top hoop is reunited. Fitter and with average luck can go one better. SANCTIONS (8) is also third-up and is also ready to win. Maps for a soft run and has genuine claims. EXTREME RULER (1) will be fitter and also rates a hope. An outside barrier makes it trickier for him. SWINDLE THE DOUGH (5) just missed a place here last time and has scope for further improvement.
Race 4: GREENFIELDS LODGE @ MAGIC MILLIONS MAIDEN (1,400m)
SHE'S PERFECTION (6) has raced well at Stakes and Group level over further and looked a run short first-up heavily bet. Presented off a Belmont trial win over 1000m and the longer sprint suits better. Needs a good ride from the outside gate but should be tough to beat regardless. GOLD RUBY (9) resumed with a near-miss at Pinjarra and hasn't missed a beat. Fitter and is a chance to go one better. QUICK COOKIE (11) rates well on the near miss this track/trip second-up and will be better for it. Started at long odds but she'll be right in it holding the form. CAPABLE ANGEL (5) was heavily bet at Narrogin but found Weather Queen much too good. She led narrowly beaten at Albany prior and that would see her around the mark.
Race 5: NIXON ELECTRICAL HANDICAP (1,690m)
MANZOR MAGIC (2) is Stakes placed and performed to market expectations first-up. The step up to the mile suits and winning rider CJP is reunited. Maps for the run of the race and he's in the top barn. STRIKING FELLA (3) peaks and has been nudged out at Geraldton and Albany his last two. The in-form Chris Parnham is a key jockey booking and the gelding is also in good hands. He can use the inside gate and is a genuine chance. FULL OF MERIT (1) is going much better than the formline suggests. She's been close up here her last two and also deserves plenty of consideration. DELTA ANNE (5) was back on track beaten 2.7L at Ascot and the extra metres won't bother. She should be around the mark.
Race 6: SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP (1,100m)
The high-striking Williams yard may hold the aces. ESSENTRIC NATURE (4) is a former Victorian resuming gelded off a long break. He's right up to this and has trialled sharply at Lark Hill. CJP sticks from that and that's a decent push for his chances. Stablemate EN PLEIN AIR (2) brings a win and a second placing from Pinjarra and was heavily bet last time. She has a 3kg claim today and is a decent chance to bounce. MAGNASONIC (1) also presents fourth up and the nose defeat at Pinjarra two-back rates well enough. The top hoop reunites from that, and he maps for a soft run. MY LOVELY PET (8) led and was nudged out here first-up and is much improved. Strips fitter and keep onside.
Race 7: YOUVE GOT THE TABtouch HANDICAP (1,400m)
RUBICK LASS (7) resumed in solid order and has plenty up her sleeve. Has placed 2/2 second-up and the longer sprint suits. Maps well and goes on top. SHOULDER PATCH (1) led beaten 1.4L at Albany over 1500m first-up. Has a handy 3kg claim and the blinkers on again and the speedy galloper can keep building. ENSIGN PULVER (3) is a veteran who showed more like his best when beaten 2.2L here over 1200m. CJP stays aboard, and he will be around the mark. REAL SENOR (6) went well at Narrogin first up and has more to give. Maps well and is in the mix.
