Richie's Vibe prevailed in a tight finish to claim the MSS Security Sprint.
Richie’s Vibe came with a barnstorming late charge to score a last stride victory under Melbourne Cup winning jockey Damien Oliver.
The lightly raced four-year-old settled down in 12th on the back of the speed closer to the centre of the course. Switch out into the clear closer to the grandstand rail at the 300 metres, he picked up strongly late on to lunge and grab Sea Lord right on the line.
Sea Lord was always up challenging on the pace, he was one of the first to come under pressure but he responded to hard riding to finish on strongly only going under by the barest of margins, a good effort.
