Kerrific produced a powerful finishing burst to claim the Group 3 RJ Peters Stakes.

Kerrific was about sixth, one off the rails, before moving up (three wide) rounding the home bend. He was giving the leader about four lengths at the 200m but he came with a strong run to score a by a neck.

Elite Belle was second last in the ten-horse field to the 600m. She angled for a run on straightening but was blocked until the later stages. She finished fast when clear late for an unlucky second.

The favourite Rohan ($2.70) was midfield on the rails to the turn, took a little while to wind up in the straight but then came with a good late run to grab third.
