Tremec enjoyed a good trip in second place, following a very steady tempo. He moved up well approaching the home turn, took the lead at the 300m and was not threatened from that point to win by just over a length.

Sir John Hawkwood was sixth, one off the rails, moved up (wide) rounding the turn and looked a threat at the 200m but then fought on for (1.2 lengths) second.

Grand Marshal travelled well in fifth place on the rails, got a good run through on the inner at the 300m and then battled on for third after seeming to have every chance.

Scratchy Bottom settled in second last place in the eight-horse field. She improved (wide) at the home turn and kept running on quite well for (2.6 lengths) fourth being disadvantaged by the slow early pace.
