Fell Swoop wins 2015 The Cup Club Stakes Listed $120,000 at Moonee Valley (VIC), 1200m.

Fell Swoop was away well from the gates to settle in third position one off the fence on the back of the leaders Solsay and Beach Front. He travelled strongly in the middle stages of the race and was one of the first under pressure turning for home. Oliver elected to take a run back towards the fence and the favourite hit the front a the top of the straight and drew away to score with a little in reserve.

Beach Front raced on the outside of the leader she cornered four wide into the straight and battled on gamely under hard riding to finished second after having every chance.

Griante was away well from her wide barrier (9) and was positioned nicely in seventh position between horses. She also overraced a little in the middle stages before travelling better into the race approaching the home turne. Arnold pushed out five wide into the clear on turning for home and she finished on gamely on the outside for third. A sound effort.
