Promising staying mare Telepathic followed her good win at this track a fortnight ago with an impressive win here, her sixth in 20 starts to date. She was ridden quietly by James McDonald, travelling well in fifth place, one off the rails before commencing her run rounding the home turn. She then sprinted well, hit the front at the 150m and then drew clear for an easy win.

Lucky Lucky Lucky settled well outside the leader (Vilanova), challenged on turning for home and kept battling well to just hold second placing.

Vilanova went to the front, set a reasonable tempo (first 1400m 1:28.81) and fought back well in the straight for third, just missing second in a photo.

Best Case was fourth, one out and one back, moved up at the home turn and then kept battling on in the straight for (2.6 lengths) fourth.
