Property has not finished further back than second in three starts, now winning twice and he put up another good effort in winning here. He began well from his good barrier (3) and settled in sixth place (wide with cover). He made his move (deep) at the home turn, challenged at the 100m, got to the front at the 50m and then went on to win well.

The favourite Pariah began well but was eased when wide after starting from barrier nine and settled in eighth place, between runners. He eased out at the 300m, took a moment to wind up and then came with a strong finish, putting up a very good effort in finishing second.

Wait For No One is aptly named again showing his pace to lead and held a clear break shortly after straightening. He was only headed at the 50m and did well in holding on for a close up third after running a bold race.

Azazel was smartly away from his wide barrier (12) and after racing deep early on, settled in third place (three wide without cover), was under pressure at the 200m and then ran on again to take (3.2 lengths) fourth, putting up a good run after a difficult trip.

Overshare raced behind the leader to the home turn and held on for (3.4 lengths) fifth.

The Lindsay Park-trained filly Catchy remains unbeaten after three starts with a narrow but impressive win here. She was ridden quietly and settled in sixth place, one off the rails, behind a good tempo, before improving (wide) rounding the home turn. She then sprinted quickly, challenged at the 100m and then lifted gamely under pressure to grab a very good win in a photo. Limestone had a good run in third place on the rails. She was held up on straightening, got a split at the 200m, grabbed a narrow lead at the 50m and then fought very well for a close second. Arctic Angel again showed good pace to lead. She then held the lead until passing the 100m and battled back well for third after running a bold race. The Tony McEvoy-trained filly Roomooz was fifth on the rails, eased deeper and into clear running at the 300m and caught the eye running on well, late for (1.8 lengths) fourth in a most promising effort at her second race start. Pandemonium raced outside the leader (Arctic Angel) until into the straight and held on nicely for (2.3 lengths) fifth at her second start and first in Melbourne.
