Mr Colin produced a standout performance at Kranji on Friday night when claiming the Open Maiden (1200m) by an impressive four and a half lengths.

Settling around midfield from barrier eight, the four-year-old gelding took over proceedings around the 250m and sprinted away for a dominant victory over Libeccio in second with Pire Spark third.

Mr Colin, trialled well twice on both occasions since coming to Singapore from New Zealand, running second in his most recent by a narrow margin to Baffert.

The James Peters-trained runner returned a Timeform rating of 76p which is very strong for a maiden winner and he certainly appears to have plenty of ability based on this effort.

Sunday saw several impressive winners including the Mark Walker-trained Elite Invincible who also ridden by Vlad Duric proved too strong in the Class 3 over 1400m.

Settling just off the leaders for much of the race, Elite Invincible ran on strongly in the straight to claim the lead at the 300m and hold off the fast finishing The Capital by a length with Mr Exchequer a length and a half further away in third.

The four-year-old gelding ran his highest Timeform rating since coming to Singapore (86), slightly above his first up win in Class 4 company over 1200m on December 1 of last year.

Having shown good form in both the UK and Dubai before coming to Singapore, Elite Invincible could still have more improvement to come on this effort as he makes his way through the grades.

The Capital in second ran to a rating of 77, his highest since running third in a Class 3 over 1700m in June of last year and expect him to show good improvement when second up next start.

Stunning Cat has made an immediate impact since arriving in Singapore winning his first race for the Shane Baertschiger-stable in the Class 4 Premier (1200m).

The former Australian runner who was a maiden leading into the race had trialled well on three occasions in Singapore, the most recent behind Baffert and Mr Colin.

Settling right up on the speed from the inside draw with Barend Vorster on board Stunning Cat did just enough over the concluding stages to secure a very narrow win over Country Boss with Paperback Trooper a nose away in third.

Running to a Timeform rating of 77p, Stunning Cat should have more improvement to come on that effort having rated higher in some decent races in Australia.

With the first four horses all finishing within a length of each other, it could well be a form race to follow going forward and fully expect Stunning Cat to be winning more races this campaign.
