There was just the one meeting in Singapore over the weekend which saw eight races run at Kranji on Friday night.
Our Pinnacle was able to claim his first win in Singapore when taking out the Class 4 Premier over 1400m under Michael Rodd.
The former New Zealand galloper ran well for fourth in his Singapore debut over 1200m and relished the step up to 1400m in this field.
Going to the lead from the wide draw, Our Pinnacle was able to give a kick at the top of the straight and hold off his rivals, running out a one length winner over loving You in second with Top Knight third.
The Stephen Gray-trained runner ran to a Timeform figure of 70, still below his New Zealand form but still below what he achieved during his three runs in New Zealand.
The four-year-old Pins gelding certainly looks a horse with some ability and on the back of this effort can continue to make his way through the grades this preparation.
The following race saw Smooth operator prove too strong in the Class 4 Nin Premier over 1400m after settling up on the speed from barrier six.
Despite a fairly modest showing the start prior, Smooth Operator appreciated going back up to the 1400m where both wins have now come and his form prior earlier in the preparation was strong.
The four-year-old gelding by Mint Lane ran to a new career peak Timeform figure of 69, just one pound above his second placing behind Lucky Hada three starts back.
Despite having just the two wins from eight starts, Smooth Operator has placed on two other occasions and there was a bit to like about his win on Friday night.
With his best recent form coming over the 1400m journey you would expect him to remain over that trip next start.
Finally Winning Ticket has secured a win on debut at big odds when taking out the open Maiden over 1100m on the polytrack.
Finishing third in his only public trial leading into the race, the son of Tickets came from off midfield to run on strong in the straight and beat Thomas De Lago by a length and a half with Mount Bromo third.
Winning Ticket who got the better of some well performed runner returned a Timeform figure of 64 and will certainly go around at shorter odds his next outing.
