Morphettville Races Review on 1st June 2024

Royal Majesty opened her winning account when she took out the 1100 metre the two-year-old handicap the opening event at Morphettville on Saturday.

Prepared on the track by Chris Beig and having the services of Ben Price Royal Majesty  was well placed in breaking her maiden status.

3 kg. claiming apprentice Rochelle Milnes landed her third win in two days when Fashion Dog won the three-year-old handicap which was run over 1100 metres.

Coming out of the Wyne Francis and Glen Kent stable at Strathalbyn Fashion Dog charged home from a midfield position to win.

Chris Beig landed himself an early double when Peacemaker won the 1600 metre third race.

Presenting apprentice Felicity Atkinson her second metropolitan winner Peacemaker was seen running on along the rai from a worse than midfield position.

Apprentice Rochelle Milnes landed her second winner for the day when silent Command took out the 2000 metre fourth race.

Prepared by Alison Brook at Oakbank Silent Command led all the way.

Strathalbyn trainer Kym Healy was well pleased with the win of his charge Starlite Valley in the 1050 metre fifth race.

Rinner by Caitlin Jones and coming off a last start third on the Parks circuit Starlite Valley raced one off the pace.

Talented hoop Ben Price brought up a double when he rode Favourite Child to success in the 1500 metre sixth race.

Trained by the duo of Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea Favourite Child raced in a forward position throughout the race.

Apprentice Felicity Atkinson continued a good day for the girls when she brought up a double on Bellini Miss in the 1800 metre seventh race.

Giving trainer Chris Beig his third winner for the day Bellini Miss came from well back with a powerful run over the concluding stages.

Having his second star after a spell Sportsbeat presented Todd Pannell with a win in the 1100 metre eighth race.

Prepared at Geelong by former SA horseman Michael Shepherdson Sportsbeat came with a withering run from near last to win.

Turning his form of recent months around Ben Price finished the day with a treble when Hajra won the 1100 metre final event.

Giving her co-trainers Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea their second winner for the day Hajra came from well back to record consecutive wins.
