RACE 1: (3) EL DIVINO: High expectations are held for this half-brother to Winx after he made a big winning debut over 1000m in heavy going at Gosford on March 17, the feature being the gap he put on the field in the last 200m under little pressure. Some excellent track gallops are a good indicator of his improvement since that win. Seriously good colt.RACE 5 (13) DENMAGIC: Excellent performance at first start since January when she got clear late for surging third in the Darby Munro over 1200m at Rosehill on March 19 to add a very good overall record, especially over this trip. Proven on soft ground and back to her own sex under suitable conditions makes her a strong gamble at value odds.
RACE 6: (8) YANKEE ROSE: The big gamble to take on the Golden Slipper first-up almost paid off when she proved she was clearly the best of the fillies by steaming home for an outstanding second. It’s the benchmark 2YO form and her strong last 100m when she was clearly getting away from the rest of the field indicates she should have no concerns stepping up to 1400m.BLACKBOOK UPDATE
