TRIAL POINTERS
ROSEHILL December 23: Some smart interstate runners from the Hayes stable added interest to this session. Their sharp sprinting filly BOLD BASTILLE showed her class to win the fastest 900m heat of the morning (53.77; 34.05), running freely past the leader Amazing Eagle over the last 200m for a soft win by almost three lengths. Her stablemate STOLI BOLLI won another 900m heat in slow time (55.83; 35.12). Unraced 2YO RIVELLINO has upside off his strong win in his 900m heat (55.06; (35.17). In a deep 900m heat (54.47; 34.31) COSMONOVA impressed with quality work over the last 200m for a strong fourth.
HAWKESBURY December 16: A touch of class with Golden Slipper winner LADY OF CAMELOT trialling strongly. Her impressive work to win the fastest 800m trial (46.12; 32.22) was a strong prep for her tilt at a new $3 million race at the Gold Coast. Cruised behind the leader before gaining the upper hand over the last 200m and doing all that was required to win the trial with plenty in reserve.
NEWCASTLE December 12: The Kris Lees-trained POWER OF THE BRAVE was a slick winner of the fastest 950m trial (53.51; 34.40).
ROSEHILL December 10: DEVIL NIGHT won the quickest of three moderate 2YO trials over 900m (55.64; 34.42).
RANDWICK December 9: The open heats saw strong work from numerous runners having easy workouts. Among the eye catchers were BUNDEENA and WITH YOUR BLESSING.
NEWCASTLE December 4: In the 800m heats the speedy winner VALILEE (45.49; 33.31) will be well placed in a suitable provincial maiden.
NEWCASTLE July 18: Quality youngster SPYWIRE showed his natural pace to breeze through his 920m trial for a soft win (54.46; 35.38).
