ROSEHILL MULTI

RACE 4 (1) LACKEEN: A patient preparation should bring its reward for this Godolphin import after four solid efforts since landing from France. Went close last start when a game second over this course and distance when he was having his first start beyond 1550m in Australia off a 38 day break. Gets a similar prep for this race but his sharp 1200m barrier trial win at Randwick on June 8 showed he is ready.

RACE 7 (12) APPROACH DISCREET: Honest Victorian gelding is on his way to the Grafton Cup and can pick up his expenses here at nice odds on a favourable soft track. He's rising in class but won't know himself with the limit weight of 53kg after carrying nothing less than 57.5kg in his last 15 starts that have yielded three wins and six placings including a Rosehill 2400m victory over race rival Parry Sound in heavy going under 59kg. Added to his excellent record at this course last time when getting to the line strongly over 1800m in good splits. Senior jockey goes on and he's sure to be fitter.

RACE 9 (12) WAIRERE FALLS: It's a Chris Waller conundrum with his five acceptors but happy to nominate this improving Savabeel 4YO as the best gamble from his good barrier with expected improvement from his last start when he was unlucky to go under in a three way finish over this course and distance when second up. Suited by the winter tracks and has the better of the weights under the same conditions.
