Fee not yet announced for son of Zoustar.
Zousain will stand at Widden Stud in 2020 alongside his sire Zoustar (Northern Meteor).
A $400,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by David Redvers and Mulcaster Bloodstock, Zousain went on to win twice and place a further five times in a 13 start career for Chris Waller.
Owned by a group that includes Qatar Bloodstock, Widden Stud, Glenlogan Park and Rifa Mustang, Zousain broke his maiden on debut at Randwick over 1000 metres in February 2018. He then went on to run fourth in the Skyline Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at his second start before landing the BRC Champagne Classic (Gr 2, 1200m). Zousain then placed second in both the BRC Sires' Produce Stakes (Gr 2, 1350m) and J J Atkins (Gr 1, 1600m) where he finished a long-neck behind The Autumn Sun (Redoute's Choice).
As a three-year-old, Zousain started his season off with a fourth in the Run To The Rose (Gr 2, 1200m) before a string of second placings in the Golden Rose Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m), again to The Autumn Sun, and the Coolmore Stud Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) behind Sunline (Zoustar). He retired from racing with earnings totalling $746,140.
Zousain is out of the Grade 3 winning mare Pasar Silbano (Elnadim) who is herself out of the dual winner Give A Whistle (Mujadil). She produced six other winners including the Listed winning pair Gerfalcon (Hawk Wing) and Come To Heel (Elnadim) as well as the Listed-placed Give Way Nelson (Mount Nelson). His fourth dam is Repetitious (Northfields) who produced nine winners headed by dual Group 1 winner and successful sire Indian Lodge (Grand Lodge) as well as his Group 2 winning half-brother Sarhoob (Alydar).
