Inglis understandably trumpeted the Premier Yearling Sale's ability to produce a winner of the $20 million The Everest when it on Monday morning released the catalogue for next year's sale.

The catalogue for the three-day sale – which will next year take place at Oaklands Junction from March 2 to 4 – comprises 803 yearlings by 119 different stallions, including first-season sires Home Affairs, Stay Inside, Pinatubo and Palace Pier.

Although not Inglis's highest-profile sale of the year, three of the past four winners of The Everest were offered at Premier, which was also the sale that produced Black Caviar.

"The recent success of the Premier Yearling Sale makes it a no-brainer to shop at the sale in 2025,'' Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch said.

"There is no greater selling point for this sale than the fact three of the past four winners of the $20m G1 The Everest – Bella Nipotina, Think About It and Nature Strip – were offered at the Premier Yearling Sale.

"The trio could have been purchased for a combined $270,000 and between them, they have won more than $53m in prizemoney and counting.

"Throw in the likes of Attrition, I Am Me, Nadal, Griff, Tuvalu, Benedetta, Socks Nation, Mariamia, Santa Ana Lane, Ole Kirk, September Run, Hey Doc, Gytrash, Kenedna etc and the fact that of the 31 Group 1-winning graduates out of the sale since 2018, 16 could have been secured for $100,000 or less, it really does paint a picture that buyers simply need to be involved in the sale in 2025."

The selling schedule for next year's sale will remain the same as 2024 with the first two days coming under Book 1, which features 565 lots, with the third day dedicated to Book 2.
