Fourth winner for Woodside Park’s Rich Enuff.
Woodside Park-based first season sire Rich Enuff (Written Tycoon) notched up his fourth winner on Wednesday when Riched (2 g ex Edikeni by Johannesburg) scored on debut in the Agfert Maiden Plate (1050m) at Balaklava.
The gelding scored a short-neck victory over Winning Weather (Night Of Thunder),with another three quarters of a length back to Sabaku (WrittenTycoon) in third.
Bought by his trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly for $60,000 at last year's Inglis Classic Yearling Sale from the draft of Woodside Park Stud, Riched becomes the third winner for his dam Edikeni who is a winning daughter of Johannesburg (Hennessy).
His second dam is Silken Whisper (Diesis) who produced five winners including the Group 2 winner and sire Churchill Downs (Danehill).
After producing Riched Edikeni missed to Woodside Park shuttler Cable Bay (Invincible Spirit). She has a weanling filly by Zululand (Fastnet Rock) and was covered last September by National Defense (Invincible Spirit).
Rich Enuff's other winners are Plutocrat, Hamilton Hill and Sassy Enuff and he is currently the leading Victorian-based first season sire.
