Last Saturday's two juvenile features in Sydney and Melbourne were sales-restricted events, but are important lead-ups to some of the biggest races of the year and the winners have bigger goals in store.

Invincible Woman rocketed up betting charts on the $3m Magic Millions 2YO Classic and Within The Law is now two-from-two after a Melbourne Cup Week win at Flemington, so Trent Crebbin has run the rule over how their performances stacked up on the Racing And Sports ratings scale.

Invincible Woman

Invincible Woman, a $250,000 Gold Coast yearling, ran to a RAS rating of 100 in her 2-3/4-length win over Zouclaire in the $250,000 Magic Millions Victorian 2YO Classic (1100m) in a time of 1:04.15.

Adjusted for distance and age, the daughter of I Am Invincible ran the best time figure on the card and is now into $8 second favourite for the Magic Millions 2YO  Classic.

Memo is the favourite for that race, unlucky in the Wyong lead-up with a RAS rating of 99, so there's very little between them at this stage.

Both would need to elevate on the Gold Coast, however, with that race typically won with a RAS rating between 105-116; Storm Boy at 116 the best in recent years over Capitalist & Sunlight (both 113).

Within The Law

At Randwick, Within The Law won the $500,000 Listed Inglis Nursery (1000m), so she's obviously not eligible for the Magic Millions but has posted a strong rating on debut, running to 100 on the RAS scale, the same rating as Invincible Woman in Melbourne.

That's one pound better than Odinson in last year's Nursery, although does sit a fair way off some of the top two-year-olds to have won this race in recent years.

Extreme Choice and She Will Reign both ran to 113 in their wins, but Within The Law – a daughter of Lucky Vega who cost just $30,000 at Inglis Classic – does edge the likes of El Padrino (99), Wild Ruler (98) and Irish Bet (98).

The time here – 57.85secs – is also quite strong, like Invincible Woman, adjusted for distance and age, it comes in as the quickest speed figure on the card by one pound, only a couple of lengths slower than the highway on the same day.

Both her and Invincible Woman look handy enough to at least follow into their next start.
