Luca Cumani's Cox Plate entrant former Chilean Derby winner Sahara Sun only placed 6th at Doncaster but wasn't that far off.
The winner of the 2000m race, Cai Sheen, was too good for the rest of the field but Fallon got a run out of
Sahara Sun with the 3d, 4th and 5th placed horses almost in a row. No news on the Cumani website asyet but that run should have told them a lot and the Cox Plate should still be on.
Tonight at Doncaster the girls go round in the G3 Sceptre over 1400m and John Oxx is bringing Alanza
over - obviously not for sight-seeing. She's 11/4, Chachamaidee is up a bit in weight and is 7/2, Seta 6/1and Jacqueline Quest looks like she has decided she likes racing and 10/1 could be value.
The girls again in the G2 Park Hill over 2800m - only 7 of them with the Queen's Set To Music going for
her 5th win in a row - she's by Danehill Dancer. Sense of Purpose is at 11/4 and Meeznah who is havinga nice late summer campaign is 3/1.
