Wednesday 8th sees the running of the G3 January Cup at Happy Valley.

This is so far the only Group level race to be run at the City track and has a full field of 12 lining up.  Being at the Valley makes it a bit different as there is generally a preference for horses drawing an inside barrier but the race is over 1800m so a chance for them to sort themselves out before the final dash.

We like the Chilean-bred Moments in Time who will have Hugh Bowman on board and they come out of the middle gate so should be able to get a good position.  They are on 4.3.  Flamingo Trillion is one of three Franke Lor runners here – he's c&d 3 here and will have Derek Leung riding and they are on 6.0.  Stablemate Happy Together is on 6.5 with Alex Badel riding and we think Five G Patch could enjoy this and worth a bit of e/w on 11.0 for the Cruz-Avdulla combo.
