Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on June 6.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wellington, Wyong, Seymour & Dalby.
Wyong: Race 7 @ 3:40pm
Romantic Whisper has the pace to cross from a wide gate and lead comfortably. ROMANTIC WHISPER (1) led all the way to record a narrow win over 1400m at Hawkesbury last start, continuing a run of excellent form this time in work. Goes to the next level today but drops 1.5 kgs with the claim on the last win. Gets a pretty soft lead on paper and will be extremely hard to catch. SINGING SAND (2) came from near the tail of the field to score a spectacular win over this course and distance last time out. Won't find this any tougher and should be further improved at her third run of the campaign. POSITIVE PEACE (3) won well under a big weight when resuming last time so keep her in mind. HYLONOME (6) worked home well last start and is peaking now. SELECTIONS: #1 Romantic Whisper to lead all the way again.

Dalby: Race 1 @ 12:07pm
The Irons gets the opportunity to lead. THE IRONS (2) runs along and followed the bush win with a nose defeat at Toowoomba working to the speed. Keeps improving and doubt the drop in trip will bother off a brief freshen. DELANEY'S DESIRE (8) won at Toowoomba and then wasn’t far away against the above doing a couple things wrong. Expect this trip to suit better. LI'L RODGE (6) ran into the placings at Ipswich after a slow off. He peaks now and will be around the mark. SHADOW EMPIRE (3) may be best of the rest at odds. SELECTIONS: #2 The Irons rates well and will take beating.
Wellington: Race 4 @ 2:50pm
A strong pace to be led by Thee Jenner ahead of Harmonica. HARMONICA (5) led all the way to score first up over 1300m at Dubbo then sat outside the leader at Bathurst last time over the same trip and battled on well to hold 2nd place. Promising filly who will be spot-on for this assignment. SMOODGE (1) did her best work late to grab 2nd at Muswellbrook over 1280m recently. Yet to race beyond 1300m but does find the line with gusto so expect her to be strong as she steps up to seven furlongs. The speedy THEE JENNER (7) recorded his highest rating this prep at his only run over today's trip, a desperately close 2nd at Mudgee three starts back. Sure to give a great sight out in front again. THE SCOTSMAN (6) improved sharply last time and has to be respected. SELECTIONS: #5 Harmonica to win as she peaks third up.
Seymour: Race 9 at 4:30pm
Speed across the barriers with Funding and Ourlordofwar sure to be prominent. A good contest. SPRYZEN (9) came hard and won the Maiden comfortably on debut and was good against the clock. He needs a good ride but looks promising and gets the chance to go on. FUNDING (2) runs along and has been knocking on the door. Uses the low gate and can be right in it with the handy claim at good odds. THE LAST NAPOLEON (17) missed a nose resuming and then won the Maiden comfortably as favourite after a slow off. No surprise if he went on. WIND FORCE (1) and AMBITIOUS GEM (4) also deserve consideration. SELECTIONS: #9 Spryzen has plenty of upside.
