Best bets for nine-race card at Morphettville on Saturday.
Punters are treated to solid nine-race card at HQ on Saturday with nice sized fields and plenty of betting opportunities on offer.
We head to the fourth (4) for my best, where I'm with the progressive Chakado from the Phillip Stokes yard.
The four-year-old gelding was set a task first-up on the Parks surface when lugging 60kgs, and while he couldn't justify favouritism, he never stopped trying and was solid to the line.
The son of Toronado is sure to have come on with that run under his belt and now gets 4kgs off for what looks a similar level of opposition. He's yet to tackle this trip but I expect him to handle it and he already boasts a peak rating that his him in line or better than his immediate dangers and more exposed runners.
Chakado has shown to possess tactical speed, so I expect Lachlan Neindorf to be proactive early and roll forward from the wide alley to give himself every chance.
My next best comes in the opener where I'm confident Divino Cavallo can make a bright start for the R Griffiths & M De Kock partnership.
The four-year-old Pierro mare caught my attention at the jump outs, impressing in her most recent when ambling up to them and cruising to the line under a throttle. She draws to get the gun run from the inside alley and I suggest hard luck will be only thing that gets her beat.
