We head to Geelong for their feature Summer meeting.
A pair of feature races at Geelong for their Coastal Saturday meeting and it's the Listed Black Pearl Stakes (1200m) for the mares that provides the best bet.
She's Bulletproof comes here off a freshen, last seen gamely chasing Niance in the How Now at Caulfield, running to a peak RAS rating of 107 there, having gone to 105 in a dominant win at Moonee Valley prior.
Her past three have been all in very fast time and she's one on the up who looks likely to progress and measure up in some better races. The only horse with a peak rating to match her is She Dances, who was a bit better second up but has been well off her best since a long spell.
The Charlotte Littlefield stable are in hot form at the moment with all of their good horses running very well, and this girl is the one that could potentially end up winning something like a Group 1 Sangster in the Autumn.
The other bet I'm keen to have on the card is Don't Hope Do in Race 5, who steps up to benchmark 84 grade off a very soft win at Ballarat last time out.
The sectionals at Cranbourne fresh were very good over 1000m before being sent forward to lead last time and doing it easily, running to a new peak RAS rating of 106.
That's the highest last start rating in the field and he gets in with 54.5kg which sees him rate well clear at the weights. Jordan Childs sticks and with any luck getting across early, he should be going awfully close again.
