RACE 1 - Alexandra Plate - 1000m

ZANY GIRL (3) franked a tidy trial performance with a tough win by a short-head here nearly 3 weeks ago. This is a similar assignment and she has plenty of scope. With the natural improvement that is expected second-up, she can win again. GEEGEES MISSILE (4) beat the top pick in a trial before finishing third behind that runner on debut. She has senior hoop Troy Baker taking over from an apprentice and can turn the tables. PRINCE OF KHATUN (2) won a Longford trial under his own steam and is in good hands. A good draw will ensure that he has plenty of market support on debut. NUNKERI (10) is a stablemate of the third pick who has improved in each of her 2 trials to date and she will be ready to run a big race on debut. A market watch is advised.

RACE 2 - Kevin Sharkie Maiden - 1100m

LIGHT FORCE (3) was good enough to finish runner-up on debut before having a spell. He resumed as a gelding and got back too far early on before running on late. He was well-found in the market that day and will be hoping to race closer to the speed this time. Hard to beat this time. GAZZA'S SPIRIT (1) is getting closer to an elusive maiden win and kicked on strongly to finish runner-up for the second time in a row here last week. He has a tougher gate this time but can go one better with some luck in the running. TOSEN FAME (11) found some form at the back end of her last prep and is resuming from a decent spell during which time she would have strengthened up. She benefits from a 3kg claim and can figure in the finish if not in need of the run. I'VE BEEN DREAMING (7) strips fitter second up and can build on her fresh up effort for third here nearly 3 weeks ago. Each way.

RACE 3 - Campbell Town Hotel Class 5 - 1100m

ANYWAYS ROXIE (6) has resumed from a spell in great order and has been well-placed to win her first 3 starts in a row this season. She carries 2.5kg less this time and from a good draw, she can continue on her winning ways. PRESS FOR BOOM (4) won her first 4 races on the bounce before having a spell and resuming with a game second-place finish here nearly 3 weeks ago. She had a couple of trials before that run and will be spot-on with her fitness second-up. She is the main threat to the top pick. JAGUAR STONE (1) was not far away from the winner when resuming with a solid run for third on this track and then was tested in Stakes company where she was not disgraced. The blinkers are back on and at this level, she can bounce straight back into the money. MUSCLE UP (2) is next best.

RACE 4 - Mingari + Co Class 1 - 1100m

TRANSOM (9) made up ground when making her debut at Launceston and then improved to lead all of the way on this track nearly 3 weeks ago. This is not a big step up in field quality and from a good draw with only half a kilo more to carry, she can win again. ALPINE THUNDER (1) led all the way to score his maiden win fresh up but couldn't follow that run up when having to work hard early on from a tough draw to find a handy spot. He may try and look for some cover this time from another tricky gate and is good enough to bounce straight back into the money. HIGHLAND DUEL (2) fought on gamely when finishing third on debut and then made full use of the pole position when taking them all of the way to score last time out at Launceston just over 3 weeks ago. The wide draw is a query this time but he can win again, GEEGEES LEGACY (7) has yet to fire in 3 starts this prep and had no luck from a wide gate last start. He has a far superior gate this time and is poised to show some good from.

RACE 5 - Ladbrokes Racing Club Bm72 - 1600m

JUST A NEEDS (2) has improved in each of her 2 starts back from a spell at Launceston and is having her first start this prep on this track where she has only missed a cheque once in 9 starts, including 3 wins. She will be peaking third up and the step up to a mile is ideal. On top. RUBBLEONTHEDOUBLE (5) raced his way back into winning form when dropping a grade to score here by half-a-length. He drops 4.5kg this time and now that his confidence is up he can have a say in the finish again. KINGS ON QUEENS (6) has been mixing her form this season and roared home from last to finish runner-up by a neck here a week ago. She needs the right tempo and welcomes Craig Newitt back into the saddle. She drops 2kg and with an extra furlong to travel this time, she can have the last say this time. GEEGEES HISWORD (4) did not stretch out as expected last time out and drops back to a mile which will suit him. A win here would not be a big shock. Each way value.

RACE 6 - Ladbrokes Tasmanian Guineas - 1600m

MAGNAPRIME (1) is a very progressive gelding who was run down late after leading over 1400m at Launceston last time out. He tries the mile for the first time and is probably the likely leader again. If seeing out the extra distance, he will be very hard to peg back again. AZONTO (7) came home with a wet sail to beat the top pick last time out and on that effort, the extra furlong is the ideal next step. She could settle a touch closer to the pace this time and with the same weight to carry she can win again. GO JEANIE (9) finished fifth in the same race as the top 2 picks and did not get the best of runs before the final turn. She is bred to cope with a mile and can figure in the top 3 this time. GARCON D'ESPOIR (2) did not come up in a couple of starts in the spring and was given a break. He looked much more like it when winning the most recent of 2 trials and is not out of this. Include in all combinations.

RACE 7 - Aviso Tas Insurance Brokers - 1400m

ZEWINNA (2) won a trial before finishing quickly to finish third fresh up over 1100m here nearly 3 weeks ago. She normally improves with racing and drops a grade here. The extra 300m will suit her and with the advantage of a 3kg claim, she can give this a shake. EASTCOAST MISS (4) was not knocked about when not finishing her race off as expected last time out. She is much better placed over the longer journey of 1400m and can bounce straight back into the money. FIGHTING FOR GOLD (7) built her form nicely to score a well-deserved win on the Devonport poly track 4 weeks ago. She is just as good on the turf and there is no reason why, she can't double the dose. VERBANO (1) did not get the clearest of runs here last week and was not fully tested close to the finish line. She drops a grade and can cope with a 7-day backup. Don't drop her. Can win.

RACE 8 - Winning Edge Presentations Class 3 - 1400m

DIOS (6) was a beaten favourite here last time out after travelling close to the pace. She battled in fairly to finish fourth and just over a length from the winner. She has more time between starts here and with the winkers on for the first time, she can bounce straight back into the money. CREATIVE LICENCE (1) is a consistent gelding who is racing his way into full fitness. He may be tried again in front from the pole position and this time could be hard to peg back. STARDARMUS (4) has needed all 3 starts back from a spell and is trying 1400m for the first time. The visors go on and with some luck from a wide gate, he can figure in the finish. GEE GEES ME BOY (2) has been racing well enough since winning here fresh up and is worth including in all combinations.
