Race heads to the Great Southern region on Friday with seven races from Esperance.
Don't miss a moment of the action from Esperance this Friday, with coverage live and free on 7Plus and Racing WA.
Race 1: BD PARTINGTON BUILDING CONTRACTORS HANDICAP (1,990m)
DANDY'S GEM (6) sat on the speed and got the job done impressively over the mile here last time out, running away to win by 1.4L. Now steps out in trip, but that doesn't appear an issue and she still has plenty of upside. Can bring up back-to-back wins. MINOR DETAIL (3) held on to win by 0.5L over 1400m here last time out and steps out to this trip for the first time. He's raced well over the mile previously and he maps for a nice run just off the speed. Sure to be in the finish. COATACHINO (2) was too far back last time out when dropping in distance, finishing 5.1L away. She steps out in trip for the first time, but her recent form suggests it should suit. Can be in the finish. RED WITH TED (4) is better than he showed last time out and he is a winner over this trip previously. Include. MY BOY EDDY (1) is best of the rest.
Race 2: ESPERANCE EARTHWORKS MAIDEN (1,600m)
PRIZED JEWEL (8) stepped up to this trip last time out and jumped favourite, beaten 1.4L when running on from beyond midfield. She looks to get a similar run in transit this time and if she can run up to the figure she produced last start, she'll be very hard to beat. SUGARED UP (9) just missed first-up from a break last start over 1400m, finishing 0.8L away after sitting on the speed. She'll be fitter for that effort and she's performed well out to the mile previously. Fitter now and should be right in the finish. THE MAN HIMSELF (3) steps out to the mile again today where he has placed twice. He looks to get a nice run in transit following a 3.5L defeat as favourite over 1400m here last time out. Expecting a much better run this time around. NADELL (10) has claims if she can replicate her last start effort here. FLASH INVADER (4) is next best.
Race 3: FARMER CENTRE EXPRESS HANDICAP (1,100m)
MUSSA (7) sat on the speed last start over 1100m and got the job done by 0.6L in a strong effort. She draws better today and drops in weight as she rises in grade slightly. Suspect they'll adopt similar tactics and she'll be hard to chase down from the front. BLUE CAN TALK (5) jumped favourite last time out and just couldn't hold on when caught in the shadows of the post last time out. She too drops in weight today despite her last start effort and she has enough speed to offset the draw. Loves this track and trip and is sure to be in the finish. DAWN AMNESTY (8) has been around the mark of late, finishing just behind Blue Can Talk last time out. Should get every chance from the draw again today and is likely to put his best foot forward. HILTON (3) disappointed in his two runs last campaign but they were in much stronger company at Kalgoorlie. Drops right back in grade now and is a two-time winner fresh. WESTERNIZE (4) beat some of these last start and has to be included.
Race 4: BOTT LIVESTOCK HANDICAP (1,200m)
SNIPER'S SON (2) is a 3YO who has been tested in strong company throughout his career. He was a dominant winner fresh at Kalgoorlie last campaign before tackling the Listed Belgravia Stakes before a spell. This looks a brilliant race for him to resume in and he's sure to bounce back to winning ways. DUBAI'S DAUGHTER (3) dominated over this track and trip 8 days ago when winning as the $1.95 favourite. She draws inside today which is a positive sign and she usually improves with a run under her belt. Can build on the fresh victory. MARYBEE (5) jumped favourite over 1100m here last time out and got the job done when running over the top. She looks to get a similar run this time around and is sure to go close. SECRICITY (6) just missed on resumption over 1100m here and steps out in trip today. Drawn well again and won't be far away. PARADISE STAR (7) is better than she showed last time out and can bounce back.
Race 5: SOUTH EAST PETROLEUM HANDICAP (1,300m)
ROYAL ACCOLADE (1) is looking for the hat-trick of wins following a 1L victory over 1200m here at this track as favourite. He steps up another 100m today but it doesn't look an issue on recent efforts. Trending the right way and can win again. SHEZGOTTHALOT (6) got a long way back here last time out after being awkwardly away as favourite, beaten 1.2L in an eye-catching effort. Now up to this trip again where she hasn't had much luck, but her best figures suggest she is a winning chance if she can put it all together from a good barrier. MILITARY ACTION (2) just missed first-up at 1400m here and drops back in trip today. That doesn't appear an issue and the form out of his last start was sound. Kept fresh which is a big tick and he won't be far away. LADY DUCATI (8) is better than she showed at this track and trip last time out and can bounce back in a big way. LACIE ACE (9) has claims on her best figures.
Race 6: KALGOORLIE MINER HANDICAP (1,400m)
MUNGO JERRY (2) was too good over 1300m here last time out, running away to score by 1.2L as the favourite. He meets a similar field here and isn't placed that badly at the weights despite his win last time out. The rise in trip won't hurt and he can bring up back-to-back wins. I AM SPARTACUS (1) got a long way back behind Mungo Jerry last time out and closed off well to be 1.7L off him at the line. He's now 749 days between wins, but he's knocking on the door and he should be right in the finish. NORTHERN IVY (8) led them up last start before being gunned down in the straight by Mungo Jerry. Suspect the 20 days between runs will be right up his alley and he should make his own luck up on the speed once again. Loves this track and trip and will feature again. KALLAROO (5) is better than he showed last time out over the mile and getting back to this trip may suit with the visors on first time. UNCOMPROMISED (3) can run a bold race first-up.
Race 7: KALGOORLIE BOULDER RACING CLUB HANDICAP (1,600m)
TRUE CHANCE (2) is looking for his fourth win in-a-row as he continues to work through the grades. Altieri's been on board for his past couple of outings and the form out of those races has worked out well. Draws a much better gate today and can continue on his winning run. FRIAR THE GUN (6) is looking for back-to-back victories after rounding up her rivals to win by 0.4L last start at this track and trip. Form out of that has been solid and she draws an inside barrier now. Drops in weight today and can play a major role. TAK GOES BOOM (10) disappointed when back in trip last time out as favourite but was much better over this course and distance the start prior. Can bounce back with Cooper back in the saddle and no weight on his back. DADIRRA (9) hasn't been far away of late and has to be respected. WHEATSTACK THIEF (1) can build on the solid first-up effort.
