Race 1: SOUND TELEGRAPH MAIDEN (2200m)

SPANISH KAT (4) runs along and brings a 1L defeat from Bunbury over this distance. Deserves to break through and gets his chance. BROWN MORN (3) will improve off the solid effort at Ascot. Has placed 3/3 this trip and in on a quick back-up. SNIFFY TIFFY (7) has been around the mark and may sit closer today. In the mix along with DR ON CALL (5) who comes out of the same race finishing behind Spanish Kat.

Race 2: TABtouch SCAN MY BET MAIDEN (1200m)

MAJESTIC PRINCESS (6) resumed with a second placing at Ascot behind a dominant winner. She's much improved and draws inside today with Chris Parnham booked. Fitter and will be tough to beat. ZED HOT EXPRESS (9) won a Lark Hill trial and franked that with a solid Bunbury placing. Maps well and is sure to have come on. HELL'S CITI (1) wasn't beaten far at Bunbury first-up and the longer sprint suits. His best would see him in the finish. VENTURO (2) resumes for a new yard. May need one but he's certainly good enough and keep safe.

Race 3: BECOME AN OWNER IN 2025 - OWN THE DREAM MAIDEN (1200m)

PRINCE EPAULETTE (1) resumed here as the favourite but looked a run short. Contested Stakes and Group company his other race starts so they have an opinion. Strips fitter and sharp improvement is anticipated. FAVOURITE SONGS (6) has been narrowly beaten her last three and spiked his figures last time in a strong form race. Briefly freshened and jumps from the rails gate and can control the tempo. MAGICAL SEQUENCE (9) impressed placing second at Bunbury on debut and drawn low will get every chance to go one better. ALABAMA ELEGANCE (7) is fitter and knocking on the door. Keep onside.

Race 4: KWIK N KLEEN CAR WASH MAIDEN (1400m)

BIRD ON A WIRE (10) resumed here with a narrow defeat and has placed 2/3 second-up. She's been unlucky not to have broken through and has a nose defeat at Belmont in the CV. Maps well and fitter this is winnable. DUG ANOTHER HOLE (3) peaks and is the likely danger. Disappointed last time but the nose defeat prior stacks right up. Chris Parnham is a key jockey booking. RUNAWAY WINSTON (6) needed it first up but will be much sharper today. His best would have him in the finish. HOLDOUT (4) is third-up and can show more. Has the rails gate and his form early doors was good enough for this. Keep onside.

Race 5: WEALTHVISORY MAIDEN (1400m)

BOSS HOLIDAY (1) brings a string of narrow defeats and there was nothing in it at Bunbury last time over this distance. Hard fit and can go one better. TOO SOON (6) resumes for the top barn and has switched from a Sydney stable. He's trialled sharply and rates strongly. CJP rides and expect a bold effort. NAUGHTY TORTIE (7) is also in good hands and can build on the first-up Pinjarra placing. Draws wide but Chris Parnham stays aboard and the gelding has the first-time blinkers applied. ABSTRACTED (11) is third up and should be ready to show more like his best Victorian form when trained by Godolphin.

Race 6: SWAN DRAUGHT HANDICAP (1000m)

CESSATION (1) raced favourite and was narrowly beaten here first-up. She hasn't missed a beat and is proven second-up. With average luck she can go one better. MAGIC BELLE (7) resumed with a narrow defeat at Pinjarra well-supported. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and will use the inside gate. Fitter and a decent chance. TWIGGER (8) has a similar profile and forgive his latest. Missed a nose at Bunbury prior and that stacks up. FAMEUX (2) was back to his best narrowly beaten at Bunbury in a blanket finish. He's switched yards since and has been kept up to the mark with a trial. Some trust is required but he's good enough.

Race 7: ESSENTIAL AIRCOR SERVICES HANDICAP (1600m)

ICEBERGS (1) is a leader and brings a near miss from Ascot over this trip. He led in that and raced favourite. Finds easier today and should be winning. I'M CRAFTY (2) is a threat. Had no luck off a wide barrier last time but the 1L defeat at Ascot prior reads well. Has the inside barrier and CJP stays aboard. I'M NIPOTE (3) improved again beaten 1.2L over this distance at Bunbury and is capable of going one better. HE'S ARCHIE (4) is also going well enough to consider.

Race 8: THE AUSTRALIAN WORKERS UNION WA BRANCH HANDICAP​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ (1400m)

Tricky. LYRICAL ANGEL (1) resumes and will race over further. Just missed two back in the Belmont Oaks and he's been fitted with a trial. Has placed fresh and won over 1400m. Chris Parnham is booked and now surprise to see him ready to go. CRUISE TO RIO (7) resumes and has also raced well at Stakes level over a trip. Had just the two starts last campaign (both solid) and has placed 2/3 first up. PRINCE OF SANTOS (9) resumes and has trialled at Lark Hill. Rates well and expect him to be presented forward today. WHO SAZ YES (13) can build on the impressive Maiden win at Bunbury.

Race 9: AUSTRALIA DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY RACING 27 JAN HANDICAP​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ (1200m)

SOSO LUCKY (9) resumes for a leading barn and is promising. Was heavily bet again and just missed the hat trick before spelling. Has trialled well for her return and Chris Parnham sticks from that. Easily won her only fresh outing and will be tough to beat. OUR MATE ARCHIE (3) just missed at Bunbury first-up seeking a hat trick. He was expected to win that and is proven second-up. He has winning claims. LIFEISBUTADREAM (12) has also won second-up and was good at Ascot on return. Draws awkwardly but CJP sticks and she can feature with average luck. MYSTIC JANE (2) always puts in and can build on the 1.5L third-up defeat at Ascot.
