Unchain My Heart proved far too good in the Andrew Ramsden over two miles at Flemington.
Unchain My Heart settled well in the run eighth on the fence about eight lengths from the leader I’m Jake who set an even tempo.
She was left a little flat footed when the tempo increased approaching the home turn finding herself third last on turning for home. She came with a big finish on the outside to hit the front at the 100m before drawing right away to score impressively. A good effort.
Vatuvei came from seventh on the fence in the run to take inside runs. He was held up for a run at the 350m, pushing through a narrow gap to get into the clear at the 250m. He hit the front momentarily at the 200m but could not fend of the big finish of the winner on the outside. To his credit he battled gamely the whole way to the line. A game effort.
Gotta Take Care raced in fourth position one off the fence. He improved his position three wide from the 650m. He loomed up at the top of the straight but only stayed on at one pace to the line, narrowly missing second.
