Nearist To Pin proved too strong for rivals in All Victorian Sprint Final.
Nearest To Pin travelled well, with cover, just behind the leaders, following a very steady early pace (first 600m 36.67).
He moved up to challenge at the 300m, when to second at the 100m and finished a bit too well to score by a half neck.
Le Bonsir was ridden quietly in fourth place, improved well, took the lead at the 200m and was only overtaken nearing the post for a good (half neck) second.
Shanghai Warrior was back in seventh place, behind runners before putting in a challenge coming to the 300m.
He went to fourth at the 200m and then battled on quite well for third.
The short-priced favourite Vain Queen ($1.60) travelled well in second place before taking the lead at the 300m
But she was under pressure shortly afterwards and then just battled from that point for (2.7 lengths) fourth.
