Famous Seamus began well but was caught wide from his outside barrier (7). He then had little option but to remain three deep outside the leading pair (Charlie Boy & Sincero) but they were only travelling at a reasonable tempo (first 600m 35.55). He moved up to challenge at the 200m and finished a bit too well in the sprint home (last 600m 34.31) to win by a short neck.

Charlie Boy led to the 200m and fought back particularly well when challenged for a good second, putting up a nice effort at his second run from a lengthy spell.

Wouldn't It Be Nice was fifth between runners, got into the clear passing the 300m and ran on quite well for third.

Generalifewas last to the turn. He looked for a run between runners at the 300m but was blocked all the way from that point and appeared to have plenty in hand before finishing an unlucky (1.4 lengths) fourth. It was a smart first-up effort.

I've Got The Looks was fifth on the rails, went to third at the 200m and then battled on for fifth, beaten just under

two lengths.
