Lumosty ran a good trial for the VRC Oaks (Gr 1, 2500m) on 6 November with an impressive win here, racing in blinkers for the first time. She began smartly and settled nicely outside the leader (Tender) travelling at a moderate tempo (first 1000m 62.39). She easily took the lead rounding the home turn and went on to win comfortably by two and a half lengths, sprinting home in a smart 34.63.

Tahni Dancer enjoyed a good run, fifth with cover before moving up three wide at the home turn. She went to second at the 100m and fought on to hold that position to the post having no chance with the winner.

Berimbau travelled well in seventh place on the rails, switched out to be fifth rounding the home turn and then ran on quite well in the sprint home to just grab third nearing the post.

Singularity had a good trip, third on the rails most of the way to the turn and battled on quite well, just missing the minor placing in the closing stages to finish (4.4 lengths) fourth.
