Our Boy Malachi maintained his unbeaten record in Sydney, now making it three starts for as many wins with an easy victory and in the process took his imposing overall record to 18 starts for 16 wins. He settled nicely outside the leader Howmuchdoyouloveme, moved up strongly on straightening, went to the front at the 200m and then sprinted clear to win by two and a half lengths, being eased down nearing the post in a most impressive performance.

Dothraki tracked the eventual winner, racing in third place. He momentarily looked a chance when he challenged nearing the 200m but was outclassed by the winner over the latter stages, holding on for a sound second.

Cradle Me was fourth on the rails, got through to third at the 200m and she then fought on to hold that position to the post for third.

Fare Well was last in the six-horse field to the turn and she made ground quite well, without threatening for fourth, beaten just under four lengths while Howmuchdoyouloveme tired to finish last, after leading to the 300m, at his first run since June.
